Wedding Welcome Board

I dusted off my calligraphy and floral drawing skills to help illustrate my friend’s wedding welcome sign. The end result was even more beautiful than I could have imagined and I was so thrilled to be able to help add a personal touch to Geraldine’s special day.

Wishing you and Rich a happy and long marriage! xoxo.

Contemporary Holiday Wreath

My friend Melissa was feeling in a crafty mood and wanted to make something similar to this lovely wreaths. I never seen wreaths interpreted in such a modern and minimalist way and was excited to try making one.

I have not crafted in awhile, so it felt so good to get my hands dirty and try to figure out the exact placement of each greenery piece. I love how it turned out!

DIY Polaroid Ornaments

My friend and her fiancé recently opened a super cute doggy care shop in Downtown Brooklyn. To get into the holiday spirit and showcase all their dog clients, Geraldine asked me make some ornaments for the store’s Christmas tree. She had taken polaroids of all the pups and we brainstormed how to spruce them up with some holiday cheer.

We wrote down each dog’s name on the polaroids and embellished them with red ribbons, fuzzy balls, stickers, and mini clothes pins. The evening was exactly what I needed – girl chat, crafts and delicious Thai food. A much needed distraction from all the woes of the pandemic.

We made an evening out of it and gathered a few girls and had a wonderful evening of crafts, Thai food and catching up. A much needed distraction of all the woes of the pandemic.

Koa, Geraldine’s dog, pooped from the evening. ♥️

Painting tiny bears to relieve my anxiety during Covid-19

I am writing this during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. A few weeks into New York City’s stay-at-home order, I quickly realized I needed some sort of creative outlet while we are all trying to do our part by staying home and socially distance. Complaining about cabin fever eventually made me feel ungrateful when I see how our frontline workers are literally risking their lives to fight this pandemic. I got myself some clay, a gummy bear mold and have been making and painting a couple bears each day. This project has really helped to calm my nerves – I feel peaceful when I paint and each one of these bears has made me smile.
